Memorial

 It is time for us to pay our dues for 2025 to the Carter Sunset Memorial Garden Cemetery.  We do understand that some of you are not going to be buried in the family cemetery, but your family members are buried there, and we need you to help us keep the property updated.  Donations are appreciated and welcome from all family members.  Membership to the Carter Sunset Memorial Gardens is not required to donate.  If you do not want to be a member, please make a donation (any amount) to help us keep the property beautiful.

Our yearly dues are:
·  $25 per person; children in the household are covered if they are in school.
·  Family of two is $50; children in the household are covered if they are in school
·  Dues are from January 1st to December 31st
·  Deadline for dues are April 15th; if they are paid after this date, there is 90 days waiting period.

Donations and membership dues will also help fund the below improvements we aim to make to our family cemetery:

• Install Solar Power Light at the entrance gate – this will be done this year. (Larry Myles, Responsible) Complete.
• Cut grass and make improvements to the one acre of land that was purchased from Theresa  Davis. (Winford Cooper, Responsible.)
• Create a plat survey for grave site – this is in the works. (Winford Cooper, Responsible)  
• Graves are opened and closed by:  Frank Davis, the son of Jessie Davis.

If you are not a member, the cost of opening and closing the grave is $1,000.  Update Cemetery By-Laws and send a copy to all members (Winford Cooper).
